Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit! My name is Chelsey Smith of Painted Lady Photography. I am a North Texas photographer specializing in creative wedding, maternity, newborn, and family photography. I am a photographer by trade, but really, I am a mother, daughter, sister, friend, crafter, tattoo collector, and hopeless dreamer. I am drawn to photography from a mother’s perspective. I have always appreciated getting lost in beautiful photography. I studied black and white photography in college, where I learned the basics and got a feel for the dark room. While I mostly work with digital now, I am so glad to have that experience of working with film. It wasn’t until my son was born that I truly found a passion for capturing my everyday through photography. One thing that breaks my heart a little as I look back on the precious memories I have captured of my sweet family to date is that I am not in the pictures. This is what draws me to photography professionally. I want to help others capture these precious memories and moments with the whole family in the frame. I want to tell your family’s story, whatever that may look like!
